Relating job operators to Database mail profile

    Hi

    I wanted to know if there was a way to relate an operator for job notification to a database profile instead. Basically I have a large SQL farm environment with serveral dozen jobs relating to different applications and support teams. In SQL 2000, I have a script to check the status of the job in the history table. if the job failed, any email would be sent.

    Is there an easier way in 2005 to associate a job failure notification with a particular DBmail profile?

    You can create the various Operators in SQL 2005 and assign the specific job to send mail to related operator when the job fails.

    The problem with creating operators in SQL 2005 is that the operators are always tied to the default DB mail profile. I wanted to associate each operator with a particular mail profile.
