Is there a way to remove a filegroup from partition scheme?
Or is there another way to do a rolling 6 months partition? My plan is to add new filegroup for new month and drop the oldest filegroup.

Nevermind, I realized when I merge the partition. SQL Server will drop the filegroup from the partition scheme automatically.
