Report Printing from SQL 2000

  • I concur w/ Andoi about the Web Assistant Wizard - give it a try (in EM, wizards under Management). Without knowing any html, the wizard will walk you thru creating a simple report that can be automatically scheduled thru SQL Server for when data is updated or at times you select. If you know even a little html you can create some pretty sharp looking reports in a web page, limited only by your imagination and data. This could be created on a common internal directory, or ftp'd to the web where anyone who needed to could view or print the report only as needed.

  • We have a bunch of routine reports where I work that we send out as email. I have a scheduled job in SQL Server that creates the report and emails it out to the appropriate people.
