Running rebuildm in SQL server 2000

  • Can anyone tell me how long it will take to run the rebuildm as I need to change the SQL Server collation. We have just migrated to new servers and are getting collation errors but are live on the new servers (the old ones have been de-commissioned so cannot go backwards). The total size of all the databases is 1224mb but those that need to change (i.e. the defaut Master, Tempdb etc) are only a total of 71mb.

Any further advice/information you can give would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Sonia

  • hi,

I already did it on production server, you need to be careful. (it could take a long time a couple of hours, but if you are well organized it just fews minutes).

Your server will be down during the process.

Check the following link it's the best (follow the following phases in the link bellow)
