Set Visibility

  • I would like to hide a field if no value is returned. The expression on the field is:

    ="Shipment Value: " + FORMAT(First(Fields!ShipmentValue.Value,"Shipments"),"#,#0.00")

I added the following to the visibilty property (have tried variants):

    =IIF(Fields!ShipmentValue.Value = "",True,False)

The report opens, I enter the parameter then hit view report. If the record does not have a value then the field is hidden. If the field should return a value a error is generated:

The hidden expression for the textbox 'ShipmentValue' contains an error: Input string was not in a correct format?

    Any ideas?

    Thanks,

    Phil.

Two hydrogen atoms walk into a bar. One says, 'I think I've lost an electron.' The other says 'Are you sure?' The first says, 'Yes, I'm positive... '

  • Hi ,

    Try this out:

    =IIF(Fields!ShipmentValue.Value is nothing,True,False)

    Thanks,

  • Hi. Thanks for the post. I resolved this yesterday on the train 🙂

    =IIF(Fields!MyField.value = Nothing,True,False)

    Thanks for posting.
