Setting up email.

    Hello everyone, I'm having trouble receiving email alerts whenever a SQL job is executed. I've configured database mail in management, enabled mail profile in sql https://vidmate.onl/ server agents, and enabled notify operator in alert properties. Gmail is the email address I'm attempting to connect to. server name: smtp.gmail.com port number: 587 Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    Have you tested sending an email direct from sp_send_dbmail?

    Have you restarted the SQL Agent after enabling mail?

    Have you checked msdb.dbo.sysmail_allitems to see what the system thinks it has done with each mail?

    Hi,

    have you checked, if your profile is "public" or "private"?

    And is there an default profile?
