slow SP and deadlocks

    I read somewher, in Profiler, that I can monitor slowly executing stored procedures or events immediatly preceding dedlocks

    How this can be possible? is there any step by step article

    I forgot to ask at the sametime how in performance tool, use the SQLServer : Usersettable object. I saw I can add conter1, 2 but what is the use of those. Should I write a special query or SP?

    If so, any docs or articles about this issue?
