SP4 and AWE

    Good Morning,

    Windows2003, Sql2000 --- Ran sp4, plus hotfix for AWE, as I have 32 gig of ram.

    I don't think SQL is using all the memory I have alloted for it, about 30 gig. I was seeing full use of the alloted memory prior to the sp4 fix

    In SQL Server logs I see the following message on startup.

    'Cannot use Address Windowing Extensions because lock memory privilege was not granted."

    Anybody come across this before?

    Hi Michelle,

    Thank you. I saw those pieces earlier this morning, and ran the hot fix. Everything completed successfully, stopped and restarted just to make sure. Strange.
