SPN registration of SQL Server on fail over cluster

    Hi Gurus,

    Could like to know if we are registering SQL service account to SPN , do we have to do for both the nodes in cluster or only the SQL server cluster name will do.

    Hi, you register the virtual cluster name not the individual nodes.

    I don't know why you would manually register the SPN. Why not grant the ability to SELF for Read/Write servicePrincipalName to the service account in AD?
