SQL 2008 Audit - How to capture Program Name/Application?

    Hi,

    Does any one know how to capture Program Name/Application name from which dml are sent under particular user id? We are planning to use SQL 2008 Auditing on our production server.

    Use the App_Name function - check it out in Books On Line

    But I didn't get it how App_name can be used with SQL 2008 Audit. Any help?

    We are planning to use SQL 2008 Audit in our upgraded SQL 2008 environment.

    Try using SQL Server Profile. That would probably be the easiest auditing solution...
