  Hi all,

  I have a stituation where I can't run more than 5 agents successfully at a time.

  For example I have 5 merge agents synchronising to subscribers if I start a 6th merge agent or even snapshot agent the progress stops at 'Starting agent'

  This problem only became apparent when more DB's were added to the server (not in replication) and a more aggressive DR plan was put in place.

  Is it at all possible that there is some sort of limitation on SQL server or is the server just badly setup?

  The More DB'S you put will not be a problem. I suggest to Check any agents are continuosly in sync. Monitor jobs which will run for long time.
