Sql editor

  • Hi!

I used the query analyzer, but this is not too good! I search another sql editor.

    What I use?

  • QA (in SQL 2000) is typically good for most people.  SQL 2005 has an even better tool SSMS (SQL Server Management Studio).  If you are looking for third party tools, you can check the tools from quest (http://www.quest.com)

    http://www.quest.com/toad_for_sql_server/index.asp

  • I like the from ApexSQL even thou I don't use anything other than QA. But there are many options out there.

  • I prefer AQT from http://www.querytool.com it's cheap and very nice and powerful, you can download the shareware version to try it out first...

The big question, is what features do you need and want in an sql editor?

  • Hi!

I like the outlining and intellilist and bracket conjuction functions.

  • I'm curious to see if you have used Toad? They acquired a nice editor from Imceda but it is being deep sixed and the users are being forced to go to another option. I have heard that Quest says that the functionality is similar with more features possible and alwys like to hear from the street.
