Correct me If I'm wrong, It is possible to take a 2008k r2 express database and upload it into a full 2008 SQL enterprise database.

It will work fine. Express edition databases are still the same structure/format as the other editions. Express server just limits database size and process memory usage.

Although if you're going down from 2008 R2 to 2008, that probably won't work. Don't know for sure, though - I've never tried it.
