SQL Instance doesn't fail over

    Hi,

    We had issue with one node of the cluster. We rebuilt it. Now we installed SQL Server First instance, worked fine. Now second instance, installation showed successful but doesn't start on rebuilt node. keep on giving following error.

    [sqsrvres] OnlineThread: ResUtilsStartResourceService failed (status 5b4)

    Any body have any ideas?

    Please find the SQL error log on the rebuilt node and have a look at what it says. Providing the service is getting started at all, there should be a note in there about why the service did not start up.

    You can post the error log here if you're not sure how to interpret the entries.
