SQL Licensing - Named Instances

    Hi there - For SQL Standard edition, would I need multiple licenses if I created multiple named instances on the same physical or virtual server?

    Quick answer is that IF the licencing model is Server+Cal then any number of SQL Server instances on a single OSE (Operating System Environment). More details here.
