SQL liteSpeed compatability

    Hi All,

    Can take a backup from SQL server 2008 using SQL litespeed and restore it on SQL server 2005 using SQL litespeed?

    Actually, our source server is getting upgraded to SQL 2008, but our destination will be SQL 2005.

    And backup of SQL 2008 is not compatible with SQL 2005; we want to use SQL litespeed (if possible)

    If you use Litespeed or not makes no difference.

    You cannot restore a backup from a 2008 server to a 2005 server. The other way round, 2005 backup restoring on 2008 is possible.
