SQL Login: Default Database

  • We have 3 SQL Server 2000 servers in our environment. They all are SP3 or SP3a and have had critical patch MS-031 installed. Through Enterprise Manager, one of them allows me to change the default DB without the Confirm Password dialog box appearing. The other two require me to confirm the password (and when I enter the known password it says invalid unless I also first update the original password as well, does that make sense?). Anyway, any ideas as to why I am seeing this behavior? Thanks.
