  • Excellent article!

Where are you supposed to vote?

  • The voting is at the bottom and the print version has been fixed. I've also updated the CSV with these numbers.

  • I am not able to download csv file. Give me invalid page error. Am I only getting this error or everyone.

    SQL DBA.

  • Good job!

Can we have the list some where easy accessible on sqlservercentral.com, for future references?

It would be nice to go there and quickly to check what is new.

    Thanks,

P.S. could you add 'spelling' to reply editor?

  • You may have preferred that I begin a new topic, but since I did a search for KB932555 and this was the only applicable thread, here I am. Also, as this is my first post hopefully you will all be tolerant.

Anyway, I have been happily running SQL Server version 9.00.2047.00, and in fact I need to remain on this version due to requirements by Sage MAS 500. What I did was deploy what I thought was a Hot Fix for Service Pack 1, KB 932555. It did not seem like all that big a deal.

Now, however, SQL Server 2005 is up to version 9.00.2050.00, which is SP2. Am I going totally insane here or did this "Hot Fix" upgrade me to SP2?

    Thanks in advance.

  • Cullen,

    Version 9.00.2050 is not SP2, it's just a post-SP1 hotfix. SP2 is 9.00.3042

  • Thanks, do you know why I get this?

    select @@version:

    Microsoft SQL Server 2005 - 9.00.2050.00 (Intel X86)

    Feb 13 2007 23:02:48

    Copyright (c) 1988-2005 Microsoft Corporation

Standard Edition on Windows NT 5.2 (Build 3790: Service Pack 2)

  • Never mind, sorry, that was the O/S. My bad.

Here is the bottom line, the message from MAS 500:

You are running SQL Server version 9.00.2050.00. Sage MAS 500 currently supports SQL Server versions between 9.00.1399.06 and 9.00.2047.00. Continuing to use Sage MAS 500 with your current version of SQL Server may result in a loss of data.

It is recommended that you revert to a version of SQL Server supported by Sage MAS 500.

  • You can either uninstall the KB 932555 hotfix (if you don't use those SSIS features) or contact Sage Software support for an updated version of their software.

Anyway, you should open a different thread if you want to continue this conversation.

  • Thanks, will do. I really appreciate your time and advice.

  • There's a little inconcistency in the csv.

data for build 9.00.1532 isn't in the same layout as the other ones !

(the URL position has shifted !)

9.00.1528,915306,http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=915306, FIX: The merge agent fails and a "permission denied" error message is logged when you synchronize a SQL Server 2005-based merge publication,2007-01-08 00:00:00.000

9.00.1532,916046,KB916046 : FIX: Indexes may grow very large when you insert a row into a table and then update the same row in SQL Server 2005,http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=916046,2007-01-09 00:00:00.000

Some rows are contained within double quotes, also ruining my auto upload

Maybe converting to a TSV (tab separated) could solve the issue with KB-titles containg commas.

Thank you for this great info summary.

  • I have four SQL Server 2005 SP2 installs which show 9.00.3033.00 as the Product Version.  I do not find this in your list.  Can anyone tell me what this build is for?
