The following exception occurred in a VB 2005 program:
System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException - An error has occurred while establishing a connection to the server. When connecting to SQL Server 2005, this failure may be caused by the fact that under the default settings SQL Server does not allow remote connections. (provider: SQL Network Interfaces, error: 26 - Error Locating Server/Instance Specified)
Strangely enough the program tries to connect to a local, not to a remote database.
This program used to work as expected in the past. I am not aware of any changes in the settings of the server.
