SQL Server 2005 Standard Edition installation

    Hi all,

    I am trying to install SQL server 2005 both client and server in my desktop. When i tried to install the server it says, Minimum hardware requirements (warning) messages and it still proceeded with installation and sudddenly there was a messsage saying "Unexpected message" and the installtion crashed.

    Can someone help me with it? I badly need help!

    Note: Earlier a month ago i tried installing 2005 Express edition and it didnt happen, so i uninstalled it...Hope this helps

    We don't have enough information to help you. What kind of system are you installing it on? The fact that you couldn't even load the Express edition tells me that your system can't handle the install.

    There should have been a log file created by the install, find that, look through it and it should tell you what the problem was.

    Also, what were the minimum hardware warning messages?
