  Hello anybody,

  I desprately need help.

  I have successfully congifured both SQL mail and

  SQL server agent but still get the error message below

  I have set up an Operator email name selected from Win3k Server Active Users and pressed test. This returned the following error: Microsoft SQL-DMO(ODBC SQL State:42000) Error 22022: SQLServerAgentError: The SQLServerAgent mail session is not running; check the mail profile and/or the SQLServerAgent service startup account in the SQLServerAgent Properties dialog.

  here's a checklist:

  sqlserveragent running on a domain account with local admin privilege

  outlook client installed on server

  mapi profile created for the service account

  opened outlook client while service account logged on, atleast once

  TEST the sql mail configuration under support services in EM, if successful sqlmail configured, otherwise repeat configuration

  Just thought I'd add.  You'll probably need to stop/start SQL Agent once you've made config changes before its effective.
