Sql Server Error Log Message - Non stopped

    Our SMS SQL server is reporting the following error on the log "Starting up database 'mscuptdb'." repeatedly by distincts spid's. I have not been able to find much documentation regarding this database. Only that it is the Updates Publisher Database.  Is tihis normal behavior?

    The autoclose option must be checkd for this db. If you remove the autoclose option for the db you would not get the message in the log.

    The common recommendation is to NOT enable autoclose.  As Arun said, if it's disabled, you won't get the messages and you won't experience the performance hit of constantly changing the database online and offline.
