SQL Server version

  • Hi,

              I just installed SP2 on SQL Server 2005 developer edition. But after the installation i ran Select @@ version on the machine and it is showing me the same version (2005.090.1399). But if i check in the summary of the installion it is showing me the correct version. Also here i am attaching the log.Please help me why it is showing the old version.

  • Have restarted the windows server after installation SP2 ?

  • Yes i restarted after the installation!

    After the restart also it is showing me the same..

  • if you connect to the database engine in management studio it will show the patch/sp level

    I'd suggest you re-install if the version is incorrect.

  • yes, try doing the SP again on the server got the same error and fixed out retrying the same
