sql server version question

    What is the difference between these two sql versions?

    Microsoft SQL Server 2008 (SP1) - 10.0.2714.0 (X64)

    Microsoft SQL Server 2008 (SP1) - 10.0.2740.0 (X64)

    I just did two instals on two different boxes and the versions are different. Concenred i may have installed something incorrectly on one just dont know what and on which.

    Just a guess, but maybe different CU's? My SQL Server 2008 installs are all at 2531, SP 1 with no additional CU's applied.

    Lynn is correct. They are at different CU levels.

    Microsoft SQL Server 2008 (SP1) - 10.0.2714.0 (X64) - SP1 CU2

    Microsoft SQL Server 2008 (SP1) - 10.0.2740.0 (X64) - SP1 CU4 with hotfix 979791

    These are the 2008 Builds after SQL 2008 SP1. The latest CU after SP1 is CU6.
