SQL service Stopped

    Hi there,

    I have a sql server 2000/sp3 with 50MB db running on Windows 2003/sp1 up to date.

    The system was working fine for a year and suddently stopped last night.

    I tried to restart the service unsuccessfully with error in the Window log event 17055.

    That's usual scariest for SQL server.

    Is anyone there can give me an idea.

    Can you post the full description of the error message from the event log. It is possible that the startup account changed the password.

    The log description is just a few words:

    event 17055

    Serverity level 26

    and a link to Microsoft website, but it's an invalid link once clicked.

    Startup account changed? I don't think so, since I am the only one to touch that server.
