SQLAgent not running on Saturday, although set.

    Hello all,

    I am running SQL 2000 on a production box. I have a number of scheduled SQLAgent jobs that have been set to run, Weekly, Monday-Saturday at a specified time. Monday-Friday seems to work fine, but Saturday is missed.

    I am not sure why. I can change the job to run daily, but the business is closed on Sunday and I don't need to backup an unchanging database.

    Has anyone seen this behavior and is there a fix.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Is the server turned off at Friday's close of business?

    No. The server was not shut off. I thought about that as well. But no.

    Is there something causing the SQLAgent service to be shutdown on Saturdays?

    Is there any policy set to prohibit account to be active in the weekends(no logon,firewall settings..)

    I don't like working Saturdays either...
