    how is the sqldiag working? Once started will run continously in background or will run once, collect the info and stop?

    It will run continuously until you stop it.

    SQLDiag.exe just runs once when you launch it. But it takes some time to finish becuase it collects lots of software and hardware inofrmation

    Sorry, I am mistaken... I was thinking of PSSDIAG not SQLDiag.... my mistake..

    PSSDIAG is very space consuming, and if I remember correctly is has to run from C Drive(?!). We had an issue about 6 months ago when we were running it on C Drive with 10 gb of free space and it creates a new file of 300mb every 2 minutes.
