SSAS 2008 compatability with SQL 2005 data source

    Hi there

    There is a drive in my company to start using SSAS 2008. Does anyone know of any issues hooking SSAS 2008 up to a data warehouse stored in SQL 2005?

    What about hooking up SSRS 2005 to an SSAS 2008 cube?

    There's no problem using SQL 2005 as a data source for SSAS 2008.

    I don't know about using SSAS 2008 as a source for SSRS 2005, but it's one of the things on my to do list so if I find out I'll let you know.

    Dear Miss N,

    I've tried it out and you can reference a SSAS 2008 cube from a SSRS 2005 report. So I guess that's good news for both of us!
