SSIS SCENARIO

  • Hi all,

    I am using the Sql server2008. I have one Problem

    i want to read the data in excel and dump into the table

    if any update happen i have to compare and load new data

    Problem is

    To read the data in Xcel file i have to choose the option below in OLDB CONN Manager

    Native OLE DB\Microsoft Office 12.0 Access Database Engine OLE DB Provider from the OLE DB Provider list.

    But in ssis 2008 i dont have the above option

    Can anyone help on this.....

  • You have to go through a couple of hoops to hook SSIS to the new office documents (2k7+).

    I Read that details present in the link which u sent

    but the problem is in that article they said to choose the Microsoft Office 12.0 Access Database Engine OLE DB Provider. but this option is not found in 2008 version

    That's incorrect. You need to install Excel 2k7 or 2012, then still perform those tasks. They aren't automatically picked up. You'll also need to run in 32 bit mode, as there aren't 64 bit drivers for that interface yet.
