    Hi,

    i'm not able to connect the Reporing service and not able to open the http:\\localhost\reportserver

    facing the below errors:

    Cannot connect to XXXXX.

    ------------------------------

    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

    Report Server WMI Provider error:

    Invalid namespace (Microsoft.SqlServer.Management.UI.RSClient)

    The report server installation is not initialized. (rsReportServerNotActivated)

    ----------------------------------------------

    Report Server (MSSQLSERVER2008) cannot connect to the report server database.

    The application domain WindowsService_2 failed to initialize. Error: Microsoft.ReportingServices.Diagnostics.Utilities.ReportServerNotActivatedException: The report server installation is not initialized.

    Please advice.

    have you run through the reporting services configuration wizard to create the reporting services databases and URL's etc?

    Yes, I've configured and left as default..

    Still I'm not able to connect....when I'm trying to conncet throwing "Invalid namespace "

    Please advice.

    Could it be that you're creating a new report server which shall use an existing database, or a scale out scenario? If so, you must restore the encryption key. http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms157133.aspx.
