SSRS - Lines aren't connecting in graph and dataset doesn't contain NULL values?

I created a chart in reporting services. My dataset uses a running total with a DATEADD function to compare today vs today last year on the same chart. However, the lines aren't connecting (see screen-shot below). I checked, and the empty data point properties are correct (and I don't think the dataset contains NULLs anyway). One odd thing - when I take out one of the series (either Today or TodayLstYr) the line does connect. Its almost like its getting confused between the series. Does anyone have a fix?

I think its cuz your missing days, Notice, no 7/4

I think its because in some cases I have values for today but not today last year. I have no idea how to remedy that. Back to the drawing board!
