Also, what version of Windows are you using?

windows vista, but should it be a problem.

because earlier It was working perfectly fine.

I was thinking maybe a Permissions escalation issue.

But if you are unable to copy the url from one successful tab and paste to another tab - there may be something else at play completely unrelated to SSRS and permissions.

  • have you tried localhost and servername ?

  • The error message is attached herewith.

  • Rather than a new window - try it from a new tab - to eliminate permissions escalation issue.

That was the first thing that I tried. but same issue.

Just to give a clear picture, I opened a new window and took the screenshot.

  • This really seems like a permissions escalation issue with Vista.

There is nothing else that comes to mind that could be relevant from the SSRS side.

  • May be. But the question is, how do we solve this!!

The only option I can think of is to reinstall sqlserver and then try again.

If you guys have any better ideas please let me know.

  • try win 7

    Try Chrome or Firefox.

    Else, run IE as administrator.

  • I have already tried with chrome.

And IE as administrator will not help, as it works only with the window that opens by clicking the RS configuration manager. I will check with the firefox.

  • Have you tried using localhost in your url?
