start sql server 2008 in single user mode

  • Hi,

    I want to take list of the databases. currently sql service is offline

    i need to start sql in single user mode to do this.

    please let me know the how to do that in 2008 version. thanks

  • Take a step back.. Why can't you start the SQL service normally?

  • The -m startup option will start an instance in single user mode. But this is not a requirement in order to get a list of all databases.
