Task Name/Description in DTS Log Files

    We get different task names in the log files of DTS packages. Is it possible to log the task name similar to what we define in the description of the task.

    It's actually the step names that are listed in the log and the only way to rename them is in Disconnected Edit in DTS Designer. You can't give steps or tasks custom names as you create them, only after they're created.

    Be careful about renaming these. I've read on the forums here about packages not working correctly after having tasks or steps renamed. I don't bother doing it myself because I don't want to take the time to go through all the steps in disconnected edit and change names.
