Taskpad view for SQL 2000 db's in SQL 2008 Mangement Studio

  • Hello,

Is there a way to view the available space for SQl Server 2000 databases in the Management Studio.

    Thanks,

    Suresh

  • You can use the built in reports. They kind of resemble the TaskPad view from SQL 2000. Right Click the database, Select Reports -> Standard Reports -> Disk Usage.

  • Ken,

Can we do this SQL Server 2000 databases in Sql Management Studio ?

I dont think there is an option for Standard Reports for Sql Server 2000 databases.

    thanks,

  • Do you mean the databases are attached to a SQL Server 2008 instance using 80 as the compatability level? I have never tried this if that is the case, but you can always use the sp_spaceused stored procedure to get the information.

  • Ken,

Yes..I have registered Sql 2000 Databases in the mangement studio...and trying to see if i can some how get the view just like the task pad....

    Thanks,
