The schema script '''' could not be propagated to the subscriber.

    Hello all,

    I have merge replication set up on 1 subscriber, and it is working fine.  But I cannot introduce a 2nd subscriber.  I almost always get this error:

    The schema script '' could not be propagated to the subscriber.

     

    When I look in the agent history, it says:

    A connection time-out had occurred while connecting to the FTP site 'oursitehere'. This may be due to the fact that Internet Explorer is configured to always attempt to make a dial-up connection.

     

    Any help would be appreciated!

    What SQL Server version and service pack is that second subscriber on? There is an issue where a subscription created by a SQL Server 2000 SP2 or greater distribution agent can't be processed by a subscriber running less than that:

    FIX: Snapshots Created on SQL Server Service Pack 2 Cannot Be Delivered Through FTP to Pre-SQL Server 2000 Service Pack 2 Subscribers

    The new subscriber is on SP4.
