Hi Gurus,
In one of my yukon cluster server is configured logshipping. Last 3 days the Tlog backup is in Executing state, but no Tlog backup files are generated. In the Log_shipping_Monitor_History_Detail table i could see the below message.
Starting
transaction log backup. Primary ID: 'aedbbac0-868c-4f3f-bf30-f5373811e2ed'
The Job is scheduled for every 5 minutes, the job is not failing but always in Executing state.
I've verified the drive rights for the SQL service account.
The dump resources are in same node and all are dependencies of SQL resource.
What could be the other reasons for it.
Suggestions would be highly appreciated.

Hi,
Have you checked the recovery model of the database.
It should be on Full recovery model.

This issue got resolved, the reason behind was, the linked server was running on the primary server where the Tlog backup generating for Logshipping. The Linked server is continuously trying to connect with the Monitoring server, so the Tlog backup updation in the Monitoring server in Hung state. It couldnt update because of the Linked server, I've removed the Linked server, it is working fine.
