Update the SQL Server SP3 on Desktop problem

    Hello this might be an simple question for some people and you could help me.

    I installed the SQl Server 2k client tools on one of the developers desktop(Pesonal Edition) on XP.When i try to apply the sp3 (SQL2KDeskSP3.exe)for desktop and i get the error message that I need to use the SA password.

    Could you tell me how can i apply the SP on desktops?

    Is MSDE in this developer's machine. If not, you can't use SQL2KDeskSP3.exe to update the client tools. Instead, you have to use SQL2KSP3.exe to do it.

    I havn't installed the MSDE on that developer's m/c.I just installed the client tools(Enterprise mgr,Query Analyzer and books online ).Do I need to apply the SP for this utilities?
