Hi All,
I am currently have the following setup:
A Main Report which includes a 2 Sub Reports. These Sub Reports use a share data set.
When I run the Sub Reports on their own within Visual Studio, they run fine.
When I include the Sub Reports within the Main Report, I get the following error:
“Data retrieval failed for the sub report, ‘Subreport11’, located at: /sub2. Please check the log files for more information.”
When I get the sub reports to use normal datasets, it works fine. When the sub reports use the share dataset, i get the above error message.
With this in mind, the issue has to be around the use of a shared datasets within a sub report.
Any ideas?

Shared Datasets? I am only aware of Shared Data Sources? What exactly do you mean by a shared dataset?

Hi,
When you create a SSRS project, you can create a Share Data Set which can be used by multiple reports.
