I have been running into a problem late where almost every morning jobs are waiting to execute due to “Waiting for Worker thread”. I don’t fully understand why this is happening? Right now (8:38am central) we have 13 jobs waiting, but only 119 spids running. From looking online it says one problem may be the Max worker threads needs to be raised. However, I have raised it from 255 (default) to 300 (and performed a restart awhile back) and that does seem to have fixed anything. Anything you can do to help me would be greatly appreciated. We are on SQL Server 2000 version.
