Windows 2003 SP1 and SQL Server 2000 SP3

  • Hello!

We are planning to install Windows 2003 SP1 soon. Our current OS/SQL Server configuration is as following:
    Windows 2003 Enterprise Edition
SQL Server 2000  SP3 Enterprise Edition ; 16 GB of RAM (AWE and PAE enabled), EMC SAN

I was wondering if there know issues with Windows 2003 SP1 and SQL Server 2000 SP3. Any help is greatly appreciated.

  • We have 8 4-way/8-way SQL Server on Windows 2003 SP1 with SQL Server 2000 Enterprise Edition SP3a on an EMC SAN.  We haven't seen any issues.  I would definitely recommend the upgrade to SP1 for Windows.  Make sure you test on development first of course.
