  we have a db that go to the size of 286GB.

  we add a HD, and created a new logical name that belongs

  to FileGroup :PRIMARY.

  how can u manage that the data will be written to the new MDF file?

  Hi,

  SQL Server will do this automatically, as the new file is part of the primary filegoup.
