I am not able to see spn for sql server (MSSQLSVC/fqdn:portno)

setspn.exe would be normally in C:\Programfiles\Supporttools

In my case this folder and setspn.exe not there.it seems support tools for windows not installed.

As per my knowledge SQL Server will unregister SPN during shutdown and reregister during startup.

Some of my SQL Servers there is no spn.exe(Windows support tools...

Remove 1400 from startup parameters.Check the mirror endpoint port number is opened.provide the error what u r getting

For application connecting to mirror server u need to add failoverpartner=Mirror server name

in the connection string.
