My last post was innacurate. The unused connections remain even though they are unused. I have posted an ActiveX script that cleans up unused connections.

I use ActiveX Scripts to configure packages for target environments. I also use them to fail packages when run by other than the configured target machine.

They have been very easy to create and useful...

Simple solution.

1. Go to edit connection properties.

2. Select New Connection Option. (Connection parameters stay the same.)

3. Type the new name.

4. Press OK.
