I need to Select the Invoice_Date as it is used in the WHERE clause to identify the date being searched on:

The quotes have been removed. I have checked and ran the report again. I am still getting the same message:
Conversion failed when converting date and/or time from character string.

Thought this might over complicate things...thats why i went for the two data sets.

This will still not get around the fact that the user needs to input the ID into the parameter field.
