Nobody's posted my favorite method, yet.
It's very fast, very thorough, cheap, and a lot of fun.
Use an Oxy Acetylene cutting torch!

Never mind.
Finally discovered that SQL server had somehow corrupted a global variable adjustment in the package.
Fixed this and job again works correctly.
