Maybe the sql server service started before the disks were ready. Do you have any event log entries that show the disks were not ready after the sql service started

Conditions that cause SQL to change its dynamic listener port.

I was wondering if anyone could tell me or point me in the direction of a white paper. When SQL 2000 SP3 is configured for dynamic port allocation, what conditions would cause it to change its port? IE I need to be aware of Listener port changes.Thanks
