I wish there were ratings on posts, maybe a thumbs up or down on answers like on Ask SCC.Interesting idea. One effect might be that the frustration people feel could be assuaged by clicking on a down-vote. At the moment there tends to be a bit of a dog-pile - and I'm not sure that's a good thing at all.
I wouldn't mind seeing something like this put in place. I wouldn't want to take away from our conversations that we have, but some method of designating a good answer would be helpful.
I absolutely hate the idea of marking "correct" answers because what is marked frequently isn't the correct answer. Same goes for "thumbs up", etc. I corrected one post on SO that had something like 12 "+1's" and it was a horrible answer. I don't know if the correct answer ever got voted up that much.
I also don't ever want posts to be "closed" to additional posts for the same reason.

Today Celko posted something mild and quite sensible - just stated facts, no telling anyone they are doing things wrong. Very different from his usual style.

Assuming "own" = "owe", but some soda or whatever shorted out the "n" and "e" keys, just tell me where to ship it. 🙂
