Are the posted questions getting worse?

Rolling to the mountains to camp. Everyone behave. Will be back Tue.

    Have a great camp!

Try not to spend any time worrying if the mountain you're on is a heap. And don't think about the tree's branching algorithyms.

Or how the trees seem to grow in repeating groups, and does that make it violate 1NF, which makes you think of Tom's article, and then start wondering if the hole in the ground is NULL ...

One of the worst Celko posts ever.

He must have stepped on dog poop today.

Do me a favor, and translate that to Italian in your post? That's hilarious...

I could translate it to "Navy" but I wouldn't be able to publish it on this site. 😀

I wish there were ratings on posts, maybe a thumbs up or down on answers like on Ask SCC.

Interesting idea. One effect might be that the frustration people feel could be assuaged by clicking on a down-vote. At the moment there tends to be a bit of a dog-pile - and I'm not sure that's a good thing at all.

I wouldn't mind seeing something like this put in place. I wouldn't want to take away from our conversations that we have, but some method of designating a good answer would be helpful.

I absolutely hate the idea of marking "correct" answers because what is marked frequently isn't the correct answer. Same goes for "thumbs up", etc. I corrected one post on SO that had something like 12 "+1's" and it was a horrible answer. I don't know if the correct answer ever got voted up that much.

I also don't ever want posts to be "closed" to additional posts for the same reason.

I'd like tosee the Italian translation too - anything to increase my vocabulary.

Today Celko posted something mild and quite sensible - just stated facts, no telling anyone they are doing things wrong. Very different from his usual style.

Well, I'm not sure you want to increase your vocabulary with this kind of "colloquial" expressions. It's nothing I would say to Her Majesty The Queen. 😉

Yes, but it seems to be on life support this morning.

I must be misunderstanding you. I've never before seen someone recommend hypocrisy before without it being essentially sarcastic.

Assuming "own" = "owe", but some soda or whatever shorted out the "n" and "e" keys, just tell me where to ship it. 🙂
