    I got my $500 yesterday. If I can write an article there, anyone here can write it for sure. 🙂

    You wrote an article for the standard? What's the link so we can go read it.

    It has not been published yet. Still more people in front of the queue. 🙂

    And you didn't let us review it first?:crying:

    No worries. It went through a crack team of technical editors. They're even meaner than you guys.

    I don't know about that we can be pretty mean. :w00t:

    I can vouch for that!

    They went easy on you then 😀

    Really, it is good that you are being published for the Standard. Can't wait to read it.

    Cool. It returns several lines of errors and the last two lines read.

    CheckDB found 42 allocation errors and 137 consistency errors in database 'mydatabase'.

    DBCC execution completed. If DBCC printed error messages, contact your system administrator.

    Next step?

    Gail,

    SSIS now? or wait till later? 😀

    OUCH!! that hurts!!!!

    Good answers for that question:

    * Look for help

    * Call MS customer support

    * Go look for my backups

    Yes, I know that was nasty of me to give him. Just something for him to think about.

  • 137 consistency errors...

    Isnt that the number of parameters for DBCC TIMEWARP ?:-D

    -Roy

  • There are two numbers that I tend to use when making this kinds stuff up.

    42 - the answer to the ultimate question of life, the universe and everything

    137 - The inverse of the 'fine structure constant'. A unitless constant that's central to the theory of quantum electrodynamics (QED)

    If you look through anything I've written, when I make numbers up, there's a good chance it's one of those two numbers.

  • To paraphrase Dilbert:

    "A number of studies have shown that made-up statistics are just as good as factual statistics."

    "How many studies have said that?"

    "42"

    ...Gail, in ancient Geece you would have been a goddess in the Geek pantheon.

    So what you're saying is around 137 BC she'd be a goddess in the Geek pantheon to 42% of the known world?
