Are the posted questions getting worse?

  • Chad Crawford (3/24/2010)

I use this on 2K5. I have a job that runs every night and stores it in a table so I can see historical trends - also allows me to see data from before a service restart, which resets the counters: ...

Funny how things happen. I was just working on a nightly process to do something like this. Do you mind if I borrow your code and modify it to work for my enterprise?

EDIT: made it small and fixed my grammer.

Yes, agreed. I have seen this several times here at SSC. It (this type of coincidence) has helped me out on several occasions as well.

  • I always think of it like critical mass, enough people get together and the same ideas start popping up in different places. Always interesting to observe.

  • What happened? A slow night on the thread? I only had 6 or 7 new notifications (usually 40-50)! Although I did steal the "table usage" script - nice way to start my day, with a new tool in the ol' toolbox! Thanks Chad, Jack and Jason!

All I'll say is that it looks like a battle not worth fighting.

I have to agree. I think this is one I will step away from.

    It's not you.

Remember the discussions on women in IT and how she reacts in those. There's a reason I commended here but didn't take it up there.

That editorial thread has really gone sideways. From somebody who apparently writes exams for MS, she is promoting that it is ok to violate the NDA. Now we have others saying that MS encourages it as well.
